Our GetSet Transylvania programming is the result of bringing together community stakeholders to address the needs of children in our community, from birth to age five.

GetSet Transylvania

We are proud to be a partner of GetSet Transylvania, a collaborative of local non-profits, government departments and offices, faith-based organizations, child care providers, concerned community members, and businesses with a shared mission to promote lifelong learning, health, and resilience in all young children in Transylvania County.

This is truly a grass-roots effort where there is no official GetSet organization or membership roster. Organizations and individuals show-up and participate as their capacity allows — or sometimes doesn’t, but they show up anyway.

The coalition has a multi-pronged effort to lay foundational programs and resources to encourage growth, learning, and resilience for all children and their families.

GetSet Babies

Whether you are in need of specific items (like diapers), looking to connect to additional resources in the community (like food banks or lactation consultants), or need emotional support, you can reach out to us for assistance.

GetSet WNC

GetSet WNC is an engaged community that values our young children and their families and strives to achieve the best educational, health, and developmental outcomes by creating nurturing, thoughtful, and collaborative community-based resources and connections.

This initiative is working to expand Sesame Street in Communities (SSIC )across Western North Carolina. GetSet WNC works in partnership with Raising Resilience WNC, a collaborative group of the western regional Smart Start partners. North Carolina’s Smart Start Network collaborates within its local communities to design evidence-based services in early childhood. Learn more below!
