Home-Based Child Care Network

More Child Care Options for You and Your Little One

Home Grown and our home based child care network envision a country in which all children have the care they need to reach their full potential through equitable access to quality child care.

To achieve this vision, Home Grown will remove policy barriers, strengthen home-based child care practices and business models, and support the growth and recognition of the sector so that all providers offer quality care and parents choose quality care.

Comprehensive networks may take many forms, such as staffed family child care networks, child care resource & referral agencies, shared service alliances, associations, and more. Comprehensive networks are durable infrastructure that are positioned to tackle the big issues facing our home-based child care sector: quality; building supply and retaining existing high quality operators; and connecting providers and families to additional services.

We are proud to be a member of Home Grown’s Building Comprehensive Networks initiative and will expand our home based network over the next two years.

Learn More About FCCH

A Family Child Care Home (FCCH) is a child care arrangement located in a residence where, at any one time, more than two children (but less than nine children) receive child care. A family child care home is licensed by the Division of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE).

We’ve linked documents and resources for Family Child Care Homes (FCCH) below, along with a form to get you started! Take a look:
